Great game, Super Jan!

Great game, Super Jan!

Another 3 points for Spurs. Another penalty scored. Another clean sheet. Roberto Soldado was our savior again, with his calmly taken penalty kick. It was a game that Spurs should have won it comfortably, with a number of chances, but failed to score. Nevertheless, a win is a win and we are happy with the 3 points.

Another goal for Soldado!

Here are the ratings for this game.

Hugo Lloris- 8- Safe hands. One of our better performers with 2 world class saves.

Kyle Walker -7- Looked comfortable with his overlapping runs. Defended well too.

Michael Dawson-7- The ever reliable captain was everywhere. He marshaled the defence well.

Jan Vertoghen- 7.5- A massive 97% passing accuracy. Looked impressive defensively and a threat when corners are given.

Danny Rose- 7- Got forward well throughout, without, ever, neglecting his defensive duties. Unfortunately Rose’s hit and miss final delivery let him down on occasions, but his partnership with Chadli on the left shows promise.

Moussa Dembele -5 – Disappointing display for a naturaly gifted player. Should have done more.

Paulinho -8- Hard to rate Paulinho. He had a tremendous game, but could’ve scored 2 or three. If it weren’t for the misses, would’ve scored a 9.

Andros Townsend -7- He played really well on midweek. And didn’t disappoint either in this match. Showed a lot of promise but somehow faded towards the end.

Etienne Capoue -9 – His readings of the game, positioning, and recovering of the ball were all extremely impressive. He will be a massive hit in North London.

Nacer Chadli -6.5- Steady game. Rarely lost possession and linked play well. Was strong on the ball and NEVER neglected his defensive duties.

Roberto Soldado – 6 – Quiet game for the Spaniard. Maybe its due to lack of service. But overall, an okay game.

Subs

Gylfi Sigurdsson – 7 – Worked hard when he came on and was tidy in possession.
